Join us as a professional Mentor!

The MSU PRSSA Mentorship Program connects dues-paying members with public relations professionals to help students build meaningful relationships and gain valuable industry insight as they prepare to enter the field.

As a mentor, you'll be a valuable resource for a student throughout their college and early professional career. Mentors help students edit and strengthen their work, provide feedback on resumes and LinkedIn profiles, offer introductions to industry professionals, answer questions about the field, and give career advice and guidance along the way.

How It Works

Each semester, we match interested students with mentors based on their areas of interest within PR, career goals, and preferences for mentorship style and meeting format (virtual or in person).

​

Once matched, mentors and mentees are encouraged to connect at least once a month. To help guide these conversations, we provide mentees with a list of conversation starters and questions to make your meetings productive and meaningful.
