What sparked your interest in public relations?
I came into MSU undecided. PR made me realize I could combine everything I enjoy doing already as hobbies… event planning, social media, talking to people, all while being creative.
What area of PR are you most interested in pursuing, and what is your dream career?
Brand partnerships and experimental marketing, specifically in the food and beverage industry.
Why did you join PRSSA, and what made you want to be part of the E-Board?
I joined PRSSA to learn more about PR. I wanted to join Eboard because I have always loved holding a leadership position and making PRSSA special to other people.
What is one thing you hope to accomplish through PRSSA this year?
I hope to connect with more members!
What is one fun or random fact about you that people might not know?
Fun fact! I can play piano man on the harmonica.
Outside of PR and school, what are you into?
I love spending time outside. Summer is 100% my favorite season. This is my 17 year dancing, I am on the MSU Dance Club. I love watching the Detroit Lions. I am a sucker for coffee. My answer will never be no, love a good iced shaken espresso. And of course spending time with friends and family.
Internships and/or PR-related experience?
I would like to note… almost all the opportunities I’ve had are through PRSSA. This past summer I worked for United Wholesale Mortgage in Pontiac, MI, as an internal comms and event intern. I work at The State News as a PR and Marketing associate. Last year, I was the events coordinator for MSU Dance Club. Sophomore year, I was a Good Molecules Student Ambassador.
